Well don't I have a terrific memory! :)
Hi Sarah,

That Hard Times piece you wrote for Bitch is quite stirring! I concur. I usually only "friend" folks I've corresponded with for awhile, but after reading that piece (and I look forward to checking out more of your blog) I think I owe it myself to make an exception. Thanks for "friending" me. I'm not sure why, but hey, why ask why?, thanks anyway!

All the best,
Brent

Oh, and in case you're interested, I've got a group going that's setting off for the summit of Ulysses beginning this Sunday, March 1st. I'll send you an invite momentarily...
. . . yes (in response to your comment), N&S is a great movie about 19th century labor politics, with an utterly seductive romance thrown in :). And it's got stronger feminism than the book as well, in my opinion (though I think the seeds of it are there in the book). Hooray for the BBC!
Hi :) I jumped over from feministing to pay your library a visit. I see you've got North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. Have you seen the BBC adaptation? I adored it. She's got wonderful women characters, I think.

Cheers,
Anna
