All the bands on my page are totally awesome. :D:D:D

My favs are Cobra Starship, Short Stack, Forever The Sickest Kids and Cute Is What We Aim For. I also like the music from Gossip Girl (the show). But anything by Cobra Starship is AWESOME and I think you should download Ladies & Gentlemen, Counting The Stars, Sway Sway Baby, Shimmy Shimmy A Go Go and 17 by Short Stack. They are a really popular (and totally hot) Aussie band and I'm seeing them in concert in December!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!! Are you happy for me!? Hehe.

Yeah, I haven't been reading as much as usual b/c I just got back to school on Monday but I'm reading The Luxe which is Gossip Girl set in (I think) the Victorian era. It's really good so far. :)

Um, some books I have read recently that I like are; The Pact & My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult, Eternal by Cynthia Leitich Smith and I have gotten hooked on Gossip Girl. I have just finished watching season 1 and I'm waiting to get season 2 off my friend. :)

yes u 2 have been on teenage book nudgers lately. i need to actually start a board for nudging. and everyone can help nugde. but yes. since we are nearing the end of school, i have all these stupid finals and hey are really getting old. and we still have all these district tests and everything. that is the only reason that i hate the end of the school year is all the tests. and they never even give us any reviews because they want to see if we really remember all that stuff! i mean, there is stuff on there from the first three weeks of school! and i know that that stuff is easy, but still! nine page final in math tuesday, as well as a disrtict test in sciencs, testing every other day in history, just got done with a final in AP english, and about to read the hobbit in its enirety in one week. very suckish.

yeah i dont really know where twilight is on my list. i get really tired of hearing bella whine and edward tell her how mh he loves her and it really just gets old. but other than that it is a pretty good book. but y do u want to say the wrd disgrace? that makes no sense dumpling. but i will look the book up. i will have a ton of time this summer and i need to get a whole lot of reading done before i can add any to my reading list.

The thin man is book from the 30's that follows the story of a retired detective and his wife. He doesn't want to get into the business again, but he has no choice. The book is very interesting, and can have some pretty funny moments. I saw the movie, and that was funny. It's one of those INCREDIBLY old ones. But it still had some pizazz. I'm liking it a lot and it's well written.

I have read the first 2 books in the Vampire Diaries..
I liked them, but I haven't been able to get ahold of the third.
If you want to read about vampires you need to read..
The House of Night Series there are five books in it they are..
Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, Untamed, Hunted, and Tempted is coming out soon i think.
And abother vampire series is The Vampire Academy series they are..
Vampire Academy, Frostbite, and Shadowkiss..
Have you read the Mortal Instruments yet?
And I'm reading Blue Bloods. but I'm almost done..
It's really good too.

DW, I was SOOOO upset when Zane died. He was my favourite in the whole triology. You should read the fourth b/c it's not really even about Tally. It's set four years into the future and there's a new main character. Tally only appears that the end. The fourth book is more about society after the cure. And I think that if Zane lived, Tally would have totally been with him over David. She sort of made that clear in Specials. I love Zane. I felt so sad when he died. :( Hope you feel better!

Bartimaeus is about demons and wizards so I guess you can't read that. Leven thumps is about a boy named Leven Thumps and this alternate world called Foo which is where dreams come from. There's a talking toothpick who is quite funny. Basically the people in the dream world are trying to break into our world and Leven has to save the day with his friends. No wizards, demons or anything like that.

Hmmmm, it's REALLY hot in summer and then it's pretty cold in winter but we don't get snow. In Victoria and New South Wales they get snow but not as much as America does. We only get hail where I live - LOL :D

Shrimp is okay :) Umm, no. Australia is like America, I guess, just a bit more laidback. We just have alot of Asian immigrants here. And it's hard to explain Asian culture, because, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, Thailand, the Philipines and all the other Asian countries are all different! Japan is really into nature while China (especially in the city) is reallu modern and revolutionized. It's difficult to explain :)

Haha, I actually like sushi but only the one with chicken and avocado. Same here! I ♥ chicken! And I hate sea food too! EWWWWWW! I don't mind fish but I hate everything else. I mainly only get Asian food alot b/c my mum is Vietnamese and they're are HEAPS of Asian people in Australia so there is alot of Asian restaurants.

It's this browny paste thing you put on bread. It's sort of sour but the after taste is sweet. It's a really strange flavour. Apparently, you'll only like it if you're Aussie. Last time I went to USA we brought Vegemite with us and my cousin said it was alright. But I think she was trying to not hurt our feelings. LOL :D

HAHA :) I always seem to be broke, it's depressing! But my parents agreed that my weekly pocket money should go up from $10 to $15. So now I get $5 more every week! YAY! :D I have two weeks holiday at the end of next week! I'm SOOOO happy b/c I've got heaps of stuff with my friends planned. One of my BFFs, Toni, is turning 14 so she's having a sleepover, I'm sleeping over at my other BFFs, Leah's, house and there's the Twilight DVD release in the hoildays, shopping trips but I've also got a dentist and optometrist (sp?) appointment :( I might need glasses b/c I can't see the whiteboard, it's really blurry and stuff and I get really bad headaches after I read for a long time. I hope I DON'T need glasses!

Have you read the second Sisters Grimm book yet? They get better with each one for the most part. Alice's fave is the fifth I think, but mine is the fourth. I just finished the sixth so have to wait for the seventh now. *Sigh*

And I found a series of books I think you might like, they're called the Maximum Ride series (not sure if I spelt that right) and they're about a group of kids/teenagers that are experiments. They are 98% human and 2% bird. It looks REALLY good so I am going to read them myself :)

It's primarily made from mud so you may want to practice your pottery skills first so you can build yourself a mud hut. It's 15 km from the Niger River too so you could get some good training in if you wish to be an acrobat as you balance a large water urn to and from the river. The main language is Songhay, which would also look great on your resume. Then there's all the time you'd have to write if you fancy being an author. Am not sure how reliable an Internet connection would be in a mud hut though and you may have to use candles for lighting.

By the way, if you are interested in doing the book thingy, why don't you make a similar tag (call it anything you want) so we can rotate with taking turns choosing from someone's selection. I've asked Nicky and Alice to create one as well. We'll go in order of who responds to me first so Nicky would be next, then Alice and then you. Not that it makes any difference really coz we all seem to have very similar taste so would probably like many in the selection. Nicky and Alice are fine with any book within my current selection too and I know you like a few in it at least although I'm not sure if you've read them. I could always add a few more though. How about if we each add 15 to the tag for when it's our turn? Either that or we could start a group for it. What do you think?

They're probably by release date as they appear on Fantastic Fiction's website, but on the odd occasion, that site lists things incorrectly. It may have been that they had trouble figuring it out as well when they added them. The author has a blogspot, but not her own website. Would have thought she would have with that many books on the market. Hopefully, she will soon now that you've got several LTers hooked coz I noticed you got Alice and Nicky into them as well. Now all we have to do is to each spread the word to several others and so on until Jaclyn creates her own website, right? ;)

Have ordered Feeling Sorry for Celia and The Murder of Bindy McKenzie from my library. Those are the only other ones they have by Jaclyn Moriarty, darn it.

Just finished reading The Year of Secret Assignments. Thanks for recommending it, igeorgiev. It was so engrossing I read most of it today (plus a quarter of the second Sisters Grimm book that I'm reading). There are a few bad words in it, which aren't appropriate in books for young adults, but all the letters and diary entries were really good. I love books told in letters and diary format. Have a tag with many similar ones called "stories told by letters or diary" if you're interested in checking out others.

You've turned me into a big fan of Jaclyn Moriarty now, but am confused by Fantastic Fiction's listing for her: http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/m/jacl.... All her books are listed as novels, yet many have the same characters as those in The Year of Secret Assignments. Are they part of a series? If so, do you know the correct order? It looks like I may have read book two or three in the series, but I'm not sure.

It was pretty awesome, I have five of my friends in my class and one of my best friends likes Twilight now (we talked about it for like fifteen minutes in the morning). We've got a completely new student in my class, he's a guy and seems nice but didn't talk that much. I'm excited about my class but I wish summer would just disappear! Sorry for commenting so much but if you liked Fablehaven, you will like The Sisters Grimm series which is sort of like Fablehaven. Haven't ordered that book yet. I'm number 12 on the waiting list for Breaking Dawn at my library so am waiting until it's at around three or four so I can hopefully pick them up together IF my library has it.

Do you like Beauty and the Beast? Was one of my faves at your age. Loved Alex Flinn's retelling of it in Beastly. Here's the link: http://www.librarything.com/work/5141188...

A popular boy at school who's rather full of himself turns into the beast and has to find a girl who'll love him despite his beastly appearance. Have never read another version of it and loved this one.

The parents of two sisters disappear so they go to live their grandmother where they learn that fairytales are real and people they meet are the characters in them. It's fun figuring out who's who.

Have you ever read any stories about mermaids? Decided to try this when I found it on Amazon and it's really good: http://www.librarything.com/work/516869/.... It's a series too so there are more. I've read the first one so far. It's about a brother and sister who find mermaids in the ocean near their home. While swimming with them, they find they can breathe under water and discover a world of mythical creatures awaits them.

It is ... very good. Whenever the reader picks up the book, the characters keep having to quickly get in their places like characters on stage would if the curtain suddenly rose earlier than they expected. Haven't read another quite like it so it's very unique in that way. Inkheart's the nearest I've read to it.

Are you a big fan of fantasy and fairytales as well, especially fairytales with a twist?

Yes, The Host is by Stephenie Meyer. Am not a fan of alien stories so only started reading it because she wrote it. Didn't like the first half at all, but then it got so incredibly good and had some an amazing ending that I'm hooked now. Can't wait till she publishes the next two in the series. She's writing them now.

I noticed in your library that you enjoyed the Inkheart series so I'd highly recommend The Great Good Thing by Roderick Townley. That's the first in the series (I've read the first two so far) and is the most similar I've found to Inkheart. Here's a synopsis:

Sylvie had an amazing life, but she didn't get to live it very often. Sylvie has been a twelve-year-old princess for more than eighty years, ever since the book she lives in was first printed. She's the heroine, and her story is exciting, but that's the trouble. Her story is always exciting in the same way. Sylvie longs to get away and explore the world outside the confines of her book.

When she breaks the cardinal rule of all storybook characters and looks up at the Reader, Sylvie begins a journey that not even she could have anticipated. And what she accomplishes goes beyond any great good thing she could have imagined.

I'm an adult who was born in England, raised in Hong Kong and live in the States. Had to laugh about the book description. Was 13 when my parents sent my sister and I to boarding school and I've always joked with my dad that he did it because I'd started to take an interest in boys. Sent us to a school in the middle of nowhere with no boys in sight so romance was only in my dreams. Gah! Sounds good though so I'll add it to my reading list.

Read Fablehaven right before The Host actually so am a recent convert to the series. Am currently reading the Twilight series for the second time (am near the end of New Moon at the moment) and plan to read the second in the Fablehaven series after that. Really enjoyed the first one.

You may enjoy chatting to my teen friend, Albino_Treetop, actually since he's a huge fan of the Fablehaven series and Twilight too. In fact, he was egging me on to read Twilight back in the early days when it was just released. (Have been friends with him and his mom for over four years now - from another site.)

By the way, I got into children and teen fiction because my eldest nephew, his mom and my friend in San Francisco who's about 12 years older than me kept urging me to read the Harry Potter series. Once I did, I wanted to read more like it and found so many good stories written for those age groups that I've been reading books for children/teens ever since.

Well 1014 books in my library are on my neverending must reads list so I've only read a fraction of them.

Saw the pic and it reminded me of Sherlock Holmes, which fits since I love mysteries although I'm more interested in the Twilight series right now. Just can't find anything that compares to it although I finally got through The Host last week. Wasn't keen on the first half, but loved the second half so much that I'm on the edge of my seat now waiting for Stephenie Meyer to write the next two installments, which she's working on.

Was looking at your library and read your comment on The Year of Secret Assignments. What was it about the story that got you so interested? Am wondering if I should take that one out of the library next. If you're looking for other books told in diary or letter format by the way, I have a tag for books called Stories Told By Letter or Diary if you'd like to check it out sometime.

I think I'm a tough rater, so the only books I gave 5 stars to were Twilight and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac (a really insane graphic novel).
Looking at your profile, you might enjoy Holly Black's books Tithe, Valiant and Ironside. I really enjoyed those books. They're about fairies, set in present time. Very good.

Hey, well it depends on what type of books you like.
I liked it, I thougfht it was interesting but I'm not a really fussy person about what I read.
The movie isn't all that good, I find the book much better.
Have you read Twilight? I reccomend that if you havn't, I loved it :)
Have you read The Spook's Aprentice? (I think it's called something else in America...) I found that very interesting too, It's the first of a series.
But as I said, it depends on what you like.
