About meI am an adjunct instructor who has created this Library Thing to provide a list of resources (and potential reads) to my students.

I will continue to add to this Library Thing, as there is no end to the books I will read, or how they link to these interests ...

I am a rhetorician in field, but my studies often cross over into the realm of women's and gender studies.

(Below, I am also providing a link to my own personal library on Library Thing.)

About my libraryThis is my "feminist" library ... books having to do with feminism or feminist issues. I translate this loosely, so you might be surprised as what you find.

I have included both fiction and non-fiction. They may not necessarily categorize themselves as feminist, but I see them as so.

Enjoy.

Hey Feminist Prof, I added you to a "friend" list before I realized that might seem creepy. Hopefully you won't think that.. I found we have a whole lot of books in common. Even though I haven't added many of my library yet, having just during office hours discovered this little gadget. Must do more later. :) Anyway.

This looks like a fun idea. :)
love what you are doing -- I've added you to my watch list b/c I'm always looking to expand my own feminist collection.

a question -- you cataloged "Fat Is a Feminist Issue" as 2nd wave. I'd love to chat with you about that. I'm doing an independent study this coming fall, comparing the suffrage movement with 3rd wave (it's my working theory that today's inclusive feminism is a continuation of the anti-oppression movement that got sidelined by the woman vote piece). I would have classified "Fat..." as 3rd wave (not b/c of date but due to the expansion of "feminism" that it represents). thoughts?
I have read recently some literary criticism of Dorothy Allison's writings, and soon I will read 'Bastard Out of Carolina.' It is good to see so many interested in her work.
