About meMy reading tastes are diverse and unconventional, compared to what my friends read.

What makes a novel a good book, to me, is how creatively a writer uses language to create a memorable story.

I'm a fan of language. Words should be crafted the same way a sculptor molds clay or a painter uses paint.

I put a book down once because the writer described her characters as "the smart girl," or "the wild one," or "the down-to-earth girl." No, no, no!

About my libraryMy catalog is a mixture of books I've read over the years.

You will see a few African-American novels that are overlooked because of the AA erotic fiction craze that's going on but I hope people will take the time to read them.
