Willem van Herp--no idea. I came across that name a lot too. Is he not mentioned even in Thieme-Becker?
Elizabeth,
Thank you for your reaction. I didn't realise you were a non-Dutch speaker.
I already have the books you mentioned, and I also ordered yours today. Actually I wasn't aware of your book, but now I will include it in my bibliography. I have been researching the Archives of Forchoudt and Musson in Antwerp last week, and I'll return to Antwerp next week.
And don't know if you speak or read any French, but if you do, I will be happy to send you my thesis when it's done (in a couple of weeks from now!).

Kind regards,
Stefan
Do you prefer to write in English, or in Dutch?
Merci
Stefan
