About meI'm a writer based in Austin. I like to read travel, history, memoirs, biographies.

About my libraryThe crates collecting dust in the barn of my parents' farm are full of moldering copies of the usual college and high school assigned classics. In addition, there are lots of travel essays by Paul Theroux and Bruce Chatwin, big fat Russian novels, and a few paperbacks that I stole from the London bookstore where I used to work.

Hi- I have to disappoint you re Generations of Winter, as I am sorry to say that I haven't read it yet. It was recommended to me by one of my Polish friends, and I put it on the list in the Library not to forget the title. I might have even bought it, have to check, and then I might read it- thanks for reminding me about it. There are a few other people who have read it though, and you will find them by checking out the book's social information.
I checked out your book too- looks interesting and goes right where I want to go in reading. I might look into it.
You might find Kapuscinski interesting- a Polish journalist and a very good writer, and especially his book on the Soviet Union, Imperium .
Sounds good. Let me know when you're back. I will send you another email with my cellphone number.
Hi and welcome to LT. I saw your post on the "Asian Fiction and Non-Fiction" group for which you were 'flagged' for advertising your book, but then I noticed that you just joined LT recently and maybe you weren't aware that spammers and flagrant self-promoters have become a real nuisance on LT, so I hope you weren't too offended by members' reactions to your post.

Your tone seems to be different from the spammers and your book looks interesting. I've read a few books of the 'peace corps' type and a few themed in and around the Middle East, but I haven't seen a book where these 2 areas intersect, such as in your book.

Good luck to you.
