About mei'm just this guy, you know?
i'm a recent graduate of st. ambrose university in davenport, ia. i gots my ba in english. that why i is teh greetest writer.
i'm doing the grad school thing now.
my current goal in life is to be a librarian and an unsuccessful fiction author.

About my libraryit's a work in progress. some day i'll get all my books in there. right now, with the lone exception of Polaris, they're all things that were easy to add. i've got a fair chunk of books that i need to add manually, and that just feels like a lot of work right now.

i like mostly like genre fiction. my preference is for weird stuff. and high quality kid-lit. i don't read "good" books. shakespeare? "classics?" bah! i'll pass.

Noticed you liked Fight Club, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a disturbed bunch of kids and a bit dark :) I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit.

Okay, I just got your comments....haven't kept up with this thing lately. I haven't even finished adding my fiction collection, and I haven't even started on my nonfic yet. I think the scanner will be helpful, though.

If you like dystopian lit, which for some reason I think you do, I have to reccomend The Handmaid's Tale. It's kind of feministy, but I really like dystopian lit a lot, and it's a fave of mine.
I started it yesterday, and I'm afraid I'm going to have to take a day off to read it. Or not go to Trivia tonight. (Gasp!)
Didja ever read what the guy who wrote "Field of Dreams," um, W.P. Kinsella had to say about the Iowa Writer's Workshop? Pretty interesting stuff.

I have a couple of accounts, trying to use that method to have different collections. Wishing now that I had come up with a more creative name. Tags could probably be used to create different collections. Susan
Writers Workshop sounds awesome. I'd go for that. I went to the U of other I (Illinois), partially because it's a good school with LOTS of assistantships, but also because I had been living in Chicago, and was a resident.
