About meTranslator (French to English), editor, and writer.

About my libraryMy undergrad major was in French language and literature; I also studied comparative literature, anthropology and piano performance. Currently (2010-2011), I'm working on a Masters in comparative literature at the Université de Nice in France. The Russian and Japanese literature are for pleasure, and I'm a kimonophile.

The tags "from grandfather" and "complit" are for my own use (books given to me by my paternal grandfather, and books studied in my undergrad comparative literature courses, respectively). "Library" tagged books are ones I've read at a library but don't own.

GroupsA Pearl of Wisdom and Enlightenment, BBC Radio 3 Listeners, Japanese Culture

ok, i saw your homepage, you are American...lol. I had a question about a book in your collection: Latin Book Two: Language Literature and Life. I recently acquired my copy, but it is missing the first 3 pages. That is to say, my copy starts on the Preface, everything else has been torn out. Would it be possible for you to scan those pages and send them to me? I am not certain if I have the 1937 edition of the 1955, but i think it is the former. Merci! How is France treating you?

parlez-vous anglais?
Bonjour Fraise

I've asked Tim to add Amazon Japan to my drop-down too, when he has time (or when it's working better).

Also asked him if there's any prospect of including macrons for Japanese long vowels, although I do recognize that this may be one request too far! It's hardly essential, but I'm always stumped as to how to enter transliterations for words such as Chado or should that be Chadou, Chadoh, Chadoo, or Chad¯o? At least the macron is unambiguous...

And yup, I'm addicted to this site, too :-) When it came time to enter my (mostly obscure) pamphlets and booklets, I was amazed to discover that virtually all of them are in the system too. Fantastic!
Ooh fraise! You asked about adding listings from Amazon.co.jp? Taihen kekko de gozaimashita!
