About meI live in a small cottage and bookcases cover almost all the walls. There are boxes under beds and in cupboards. I know this cataloging things is going to take away valuable reading time but sigh I know it must be done. Maybe I can bribe one of my kids to do it.
The first book I remember buying was a Classical Dictionary of Mythology, which I've still got. I'm a hoarder and the despair of my teenage children who insist that I stop buying books and sell off a few. Ha no chance.

Hi,

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Butcher Boy, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also about a disturbed adolescent and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

You and I are the only ones with the book "Customs of The Black Country" I found you and a kindred spirit! Collect away! :o)I am collecting more and more.
My children want me to get rid of some of my books too. One of them sincerely believes in The Uncluttered Life. The other two mainly want to get their hands on my books.
Hi Gary,
the children insisiting that I get rid of some of my books (actually, only one of them) is one thing we have in common. I NEVER will do it!
Cheers.

Hi Gary,

I recently took a trip to Ikea in Richmond and spent considerable money on 'Billy' bookshelves. They are now nicely filled with my collection (which I will try to catalogue when I become a paid up member) and I still have lots of room to continue my love affair with books, and I have many more walls to cover with bookshelves. If this is a disease, please don't offer me a cure. I used to think I had a book problem, like a drug habit or something. But after joining LT I realise I am on the 'social user' end of the continuum. I have nowhere near the amount of books you have yet, but I have the rest of my life to collect.

Cheers,
Alana.
Hello Gary. You and I are the only people on this site with the book, "The making of the African Queen." I'm curious to know where you found yours. Mine was hidden away in a junk shop in Pacifica, Ca.

cheers,
Terena
