Solomon wrote in Proverbs - "hope deffered makes the heart sick". Losing someone you really care about can be devastating - not matter how illogical the emotion.
One way that may help you to move on is to pray for the things that are important for her and realize that, as good as she is, God has someone even better for you.
Definitely planning on getting Darwin's Dilemma. Have you read Why a Horse is not a Fly or Why Us?
