I agree entirely with your opinion re the Da Vinci Code. The basic theme of the book is unoriginal and has been proposed years ago, and several better scholars, than Dan Brown. His writing is second rate and his characters lack depth or form. Why millions of people spent money on this is beyond me. I picked up my copy for a few pence at a jumble sale and after reading it thought that my money had been wasted.
Huxley was prescient.
