Just a note of appreciation for your review of Tertium Organum. You have said succinctly what needs to be said, so there's no point my attempting a review. A hearty "thumbs up", my good (wo)man.

"I have no marketable skills." Again, my life in a nutshell.

Regards,
Maki
Welcome to Books Compared. I particularly enjoyed your review of Strange & Norrell. I, too, was a bit slow to pick this book up, expecting it to be a bore. Nope. I can't quite decide which delighted me more, the body of the narrative or the delicious wry humor of the footnotes! Hope you'll contribute a comparison review soon.
With Roob's Alchemy and Mysticism, and Jung's Mysterium Coniunctionis one could be emmersed in the alchemical elixir for life.
I liked your review of the John Gardner book -- telling it like it is!
