About meI'm studying Archaeological theory in London. I inherited a lot of my dad's old sci-fi (and his occultish conspiracy interests - o malleable young mind!).

About my libraryI just moved to London so everything I own is lingering in a basement in the States. I was in the process of cataloguing, and went through about 3/4 of my books ( but there were some stragglers hiding in various boxes I hadn't gotten to yet). I estimate I've actually read about half of everything I own.

I spend a lot of time at the library and definitely do not own all of the books I'd like, including some of my favorites. I expect it will be mostly academic from here out.

If ever I again see money or, heaven help me, free time, I'm on a quest to collect all the 70's DAW books (specifically, the ones with yellow spines). Between my dad and I, we've got a lot (Maybe 50? So I've got, oh, FIVE HUNDRED OR SO! to go). I haven't cataloged all of them yet, as he hasn't officially bequeathed them. That process usually goes: I go to his basement library, I select a book he hasn't read in twenty years, and voila! It is mine.

He supports this fully as they're moldering away, unread. A sad, sad fate for such an extensive library. I'll rescue it bit by bit, down to the last misogynistic 70's sword-and-sorcery book.

Hi,

Saw you liked Trainspotting, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reading my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). Thought you might like my novel since it's also about a group of disturbed kids and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:
