About meFemale, 26, and a former library worker (6 years), currently in the medical data field.
Engaged to one Englishman, adopted by 3 cats, living with two lovely women.
Possessed of severe book lust and a voracious reader, I own between two and three thousand titles, and frequent various libraries for more ephemeral pleasures.
I've a degree in English literature and a minor in Medieval and Renaissance Studies, which accounts for much of the non spec-fic titles. A lot of these are tagged unread because I have a paranoid fear that I'll someday be without a handy library. I also keep a reading log at Twisted Librarian (website, below) that includes accounts of books I've read and don't currently own.
I'm in the middle of a general book cull and recataloging binge, so actual numbers will fluctuate as I find time to double check ISBNs and remove titles. If you're a member of Bookmooch and want something I have up for swap, check out the link below.
About my libraryRight now, my library is heavily skewed towards science fiction and fantasy, with a large proportion of tie-ins, and a growing manga/comics collection. I also have pretty good reference collections in smaller subjects that interest me - a good bit of Arthuriana and criticism, Icelandic sagas and world poetry, and Victoriana. Apart from my small collection of medieval illuminated manuscript facsimiles, I'm most pleased with my two volume OED.

What do you think of Moorcock in general, and his Elric of Melnibone series in particular?
I read a book or two of those in translation, and they were great. Then I started reading it from the first book and got bored...
