Yeah, I read it in the 6th grade. That's a really good book. Supposedly the Uglies series is similar to The Giver. Yesterday I bought Tweak and Impulse. I've decided not to read Crank until Glass comes out in paperback because Glass is the sequel to Crank. Tweak is a memoir about a man who was addicted to drugs and stuff like that. The only downfall to that is it says F*** on like every page.

Hi!
Thanks for marking my library as an interesting one! I noticed we're both Jodi Picoult fans! I read My Sister's Keeper a few years ago and loved it so much that I've started at the beginning of her bibliography and have been reading all her novels. I was going in order from oldest to newest, but then Vanishing Acts came out and I had to read that one. So much for order! Are you a Life of Pi fan? It seems like that's one of the more popular books the year it came out, and I just couldn't get into it. I gave up at only page 48, but I suspect I should give it a try again. My 18 year old son finished it and said it was pretty good. Personally, I think he read it just because I gave up, and he could do the whole..."neener neener" thing! I think sometimes I'm just not in the mood for a particular book, I tried to read Clan of the Cave Bear three times before I got into it. Then I loved it!

I'm delighted that you enjoy reading my comments on each book. I'm using LT a little differently, I think, than most people on the site. I'm attempting to list all the books I've read, rather than books I own. I find it amazing how quickly I forget some books, thus the brief synopsis of each. I'm gradually adding books as I read them (about 5-10 per month, I think); but I've also been keeping a list for about the last 10 years and I'm adding those as I have time. Once those are added, I'll be racking my brain to go back even further in time (and that's a long way back).

i did finish my english degree and i wish that i could tell you that i did something with books, but i actually do administrative work. i feel that english degrees are pretty much worthless unless you plan to teach. on the bright side, i loved every single class i had and thoroughly enjoyed getting the degree and will never regret it. i myself am thinking of getting my library science degree. :) good luck, whatever you decide!
