About meI live in New Hampshire with two cats and lots of books. Professionally, I'm a software engineer for the Harvard University Libraries.
PUBLIC SERVICE WARNING: LibraryThing, imitating some notoriously abusive sites, has a "Find Friends" feature which invites you to provide LibraryThing with the password to your account on a third-party e-mail provider. Even if LibraryThing doesn't overtly abuse this, the very act of asking you for a third-party password is an irresponsible practice, conveying the message that password sharing is a perfectly reasonable thing to do. The sites that pioneered this practice (e.g., Quechup and Shelfari) used it to send spam impersonating the users who'd foolishly submitted their passwords.
NEVER give a third-party password to LibraryThing or any other web site. The site you trust today may change policies tomorrow.
About my libraryEven now that I have a paid account, I'll never be able to enter all my books here. What you'll see here is a selection of the books which I have and find particularly interesting. In part, LibraryThing serves as a way for me to reacquaint myself with books I haven't opened in a long time, so the process of adding books is a leisurely one for me.
