I fell in love with collecting books after turning into an English Lit major in college. Currently I am working for Hmong American Partnership, after spending two years doing AmeriCorps. I love books. I love reading. I have become obsessed with book swapping sites online (www.paperbackswap.com, www.bookmooch.com). I will buy books at garage sales and such and then swap them for books I really want. Greatest invention ever! About my libraryI read mostly fiction, some memoir type stuff. I love magical realism, outdoorsy books, anything set in the american west and world literature (chinese, indian, middle eastern and latin american). I am a writer of Western fiction and I'm looking for folks who may be interested in things of the west like I am. I live in NM and enjoy hiking and exploring all over the southwest.
Feel free to add me as a friend if you want.
Thanks,
Jon.

Happy to see that you are reading my novel "A Thousand Veils." When you have finished it, please send me an email at Veils1000@aol.com, and I will email you the discussion points.

I'm currently reading "Dreamers of the Day" by Mary Doria Russell. The majority of the story is set in Cairo during the Cairo Conference (is that right? I'm not sure) which was attended post-WWI by T. E. Lawrence, Winston Churchill, and Gertrude Bell. It is just excellent and very relevent.
Have a great day!
