Ah, thanks! Yeah, my friend Tim found the mini Black Jack manga sets during a trip to Japan. I was too lazy to add them individually since I didn't see ISBN numbers. Think I pulled the photos from Amazon.jp, actually.

I like the Karte books, though I think they'll be more worthwhile when my Japanese gets better - I'm still hovering somewhere around beginner/lower intermediate, where I know enough to do a few things, but not enough to really read anything.

Ah well, you do have an interesting library then after all, and an even more interesting story :). As a military Historian and small scale tank modeller I have a great respect for your Grandfather's works. They seem to be as complete as he could make them at the time(though new information has come to light since they were first published). I hope you continue to treasure them, they are certainly a valuable resource and if they are signed too, a near-priceless heirloom. I have a considerable number of books on American tanks and AFV's, but would still like to add several more 'Hunnicutts' to my Library. It would be nice to keep in touch. My best wishes to you.

Hmmm, agreed that I don't have much interest in Manga, about the closest I've come would be to watch Final Fantasy: The spirits within:

I'm not even sure they're really the same genre, but we do share an interest in Tolkein, Sherlock Holmes, and apparently American armoured vehicles since you have Hunnicutt on the Sherman and M3 Halftrack series. I also have an interest in Japanese culture and History, feel free to look at some of my tags.

The book is largely of cover art of all of Tezuka's mangas. There's also animes and merchandise. There is a fair amount of images featuring Black Jack. A very image heavy book. =)

Whoops! Realized I accidentally gave this a Black Jack tag. ^^; *Corrects* This is of the movie 'Metropolis' based on Tezuka's manga.
