About me I'm in business and my wife is in magazine publishing. We love to read.
About my library This represents the melding of two minds. We love to read, but widely different books.
I love to read fantasy, learn about business, study philology and members of the Inklings, and come to know God better through the study of His Word and Christian books.
My wife loves to read Christian Fiction, Mysteries, and the occasional self-help book.
We collect children's books together.

I'll look into the Lawhead books you mentioned. Thanks for the suggestions.
I'm also now subscribing to your blog.

And of course, you have to love CS Lewis and Tolkien.
Also, I see you have Stephen Lawhead listed. What books have you read by him? I read Hood at some point last year. I thought it was pretty good. What's his best series in your opinion? Suggestions?

So, to honor the command to be leaven and salt to the world, it is the vocation of Christian artists to create works of beauty and power that elevate the human spirit and help humanity encounter the transcendant. I believe that is why Tolkien has had such a profound effect on the imagination. His works are laden with human truth (which is, ultimately, a reflection of Truth Himself), and his books can often lead a reader to a profound experience of God--even though Tolkien never writes specifically or overtly about God in his novels.
If you are ever interested, you can stop by www.keithstrohm and read my blog (which I am restarting reguarly after some itenerant posting). I talk a lot about the role of the artist, science fiction, God, and just about anything else that strikes my fancy!

As for the reviews, I found your blog through Mental_Floss, I think it was and really liked GRRM's "The Dying of the Light" and Norwich's "Shakespeare's Kings" reviews. I browse through the site when I'm bored at work and add interesting books to my "To Read/Buy" list. Thanks for broadening my horizons. :)
