About meI'm a book lover, why else would i be on this site? being surrounded by nature is a requirement for me; i wilt in big cities. I studied Genetics and English Lit (specialization in Romantic Poetry) at the University of Kansas. i call Lawrence, KS my home, but i've been living in Tokushima, Japan in a small village along the yoshino river.
general interests: herbs, gardening, hiking, biking, cooking, writing (poetry, short stories, novels), reading, pc games (cs:s, civIV, ect.), kendo, micro beers, red wine, shinto, paganism, wiccan, sci-fi, fantasy, chess, and texas hold 'em.
About my librarya grand majority of my books are at home, and i look forward to adding them, but until then i'm going off memory and the few with me in Nippon.
i think i could mentally divide my library into two catagories: pleasure and persuit. there are the novels that i read for the sheer enjoyment of them, and also the non-fiction and historical works that i read from my desire to learn.
