About meCurious. Love people, animals, books, tv and music of all varieties and genres. Love to know... detest not knowing. Love thinking, laughing and animated conversation, good coffee and fresh produce. Love people who are passionate about the things they love and the things they are against (but not extremeist). I hate ranking things and people because often the reasons I love two different books (or anything else) are quite different - I may love one book for one reason and the other for another - they are both wonderful in their own ways but can't necessarily be compared. I can say what I love and what I find appalling though... just don't expect ranking or scoring from me, it's not my thing.

About my libraryA bit of this... a bit of that. My books are all currently in storage which makes me sad - my profile will remain a little bare until such time I can retrieve my beloved books. I never used to part with books but have learned to set the odd one free thanks to bookcrossing. I used to be aghast at the idea of writing in books but love reading other peoples penciled comments in second hand books I've bought so now make the odd notation myself (in my own books only). I've never hesitated to scribble notes in my text books (and go crazy with a highlighter pen in them too); it helps me learn & review. I always bookmark, I never fold pages. I love most genres, fiction, non fiction, pulp, literature, graphic novels/comics - stuff. I love getting book recommendations from others and being handed books and being told to "read this".

*As all of my books are currently in storage, the book covers displayed are just any old version of the book of the same title and are not necessarily representative of the actual version of the book I own.

Hello,
I am a writer with two Westerns out and I am looking for friends who may be interested and for folks that I share some books with. Please feel free to add me as a friend if you want.

Thanks,
Jon.
