About meI am avid booklover, who finds time to read during my commute to and from work.

About my libraryI have more books at home, then what's on the list. I will eventually catalog them once I upgrade my acct. I read mostly suspense novels. If it's a love story, there has to be something mischievous involved. Unless it's classic. Every now and then, I will pick up a memoir, science fiction, short stories or contemporary Christian fiction book. I've loved books since I was five years old.

Tananarive Due wrote My Soul to Keep, not Octavia Butler. Although Octavia Butler is deceased, as far as I know, Tananarive Due is still alive.
I haven't actually read the book. I picked it up in a bookstore and looked at it. My reaction was "Eh." It didn't seem to have any really new information for me. I already know Black folk are brainwashed. So, it's a maybe whether I'll add it to my collection. I don't like mysteries much -- I'm more into science fiction and horror. However, if I had to recommend a mystery based upon reviews, it would be the Tennyson Hardywick series collaborated by Steven Barnes, Tananarive Due and Blair Underwood. I also read a few of Walter Mosley's Easy Rawlins series. That's all I can think of for you.
