About meI love to read and cherish books. I have books from my childhood but unfortunately, my family didn't really cherish books so I don't have much that belonged to my parents or before. I own most of the books in the house, altho my sons and husband also have collections. We have over 1,000 books which I am catalogging on Library Thing.
About my libraryMy library is very eclectic, with a substantial collection of African American authored books, ranging from biographies to literature to histories. I also have a collection of various science fiction authors ranging from the 60s pulp science fiction to Star Trek and Star Wars. Lately, I've stumbled upon British historical fiction and have begun to collect Bernard Cornwell's works. I also went back to some of the first books I read in elementary school by E. Nesbit and have added them to my library.
We are a homeschooling family, starting on 3rd grade this year ('07). Lots of books are relevant to teaching my 8 year old.

I have a 4 year old grandbaby who I have home schooled until she was able to attend regular school last September. I am building her library and your library gave me some wonderful ideas.

Slow & steady will do the job. I know it took weeks to post them all. But this is the first time I really know what I have. I'm sure some of my books borrowed have never been returned. but that is all in the past.
