About meI'm a voracious reader, reading over 100 books a year. I'm retired and love to read in my hammock. I can't imagine life without books and when allergies bother my eyes, I listen to a book on tape.

About my libraryMy favorite authors are Tyler, Hoffman, Shreve, Woodward, Picoult, Mitchard,Evanovich, Cruisie, Berg,

Noticed you liked Ordinary People, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family struggling with death and mental illness. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

You're a hoot! Do you have an indoor hammock for the winter? :)
I need a hammock. I too am retired and reading a lot. See we have a lot of books in common. I got them for 3.00 apiece at the public library up the steet when they were selling off a lotg of their 2002 to 2005 express books for the Friends of the Library. Amazing,of the books we share I have actually read a lotg of them. I also bought quite a few of these at out local Dalton..but now it is closed.

See tghe Jackson book is an award winner. Jackson as father. Interesting.

Running on Empty is spooky. No more soc sec. Soup lines next
Have you reread Better Off by Brende. As our jobs and money erode this many not be a bad road map for many of us. I know during the depression my grandmother inherited a farm and used is as a place to shelter her daughter, grandchildren, and a growing group of great grandchildren. I was there in 1942 when they still had an outhouse, well, kerosine lamps, and churned milk. I guess it was TVA that probably brought electricity.

Could I live like this ?
we do share alot of great books and the same favorite authors as well. happy reading!
