About meBook and magazine writer. I offer book giveaways at my blog, http://terragarden.blogspot.com where I share garden tips, & write about my kitties, being a Christian, recipes, animals, patriotism, being a writer, etc.
My first book is co-authored with five friends, "Scrapbook of Christmas Firsts: Stories to Warm Your Heart and Tips to Simplify Your Holiday."

About my libraryEclectic. Everything C.S. Lewis wrote. Patrick O'Brian is at the top of the authors my husband and I admire; we bought all 20 in his series which begins with "Master and Commander". Martha Grimes' series each titled with the name of an English pub, C. J. Box, Elizabeth Peter's Amelia Peabody Egyptologist series, Lauren Winner, Blue Like Jazz, Michael Perry, Aimee and David Thurlo, John Grisham, Peter Robinson mysteries, gardening books, books about Christmas, & more.

Yes, I agree, our books are similar! (except I think you have catalogued more than I have . . . ) and I also love Emily Dickinson, even tho' I don't have any of hers in my library. I love Martha Grimes and POB. Too many books, not enuf time . . . I'm reading "Careless in Red" the latest in paperback by Elizabeth George and listening in the car to the latest by PD James. What are you reading now?
Hello, Gardentoad is a combo of my husband & me. He's a gardener and there is a toad in Mexico with my name. I'm going to check out your list now and see what I must read next. I haven't read any C.S. Lewis, although I've been meaning to. Happy reading!
Hi
I read your review of The Other Boleyn girl - which I also loved : ). I am currently reading The Boleyn Inheritance - which I have borrowed from my mother - and I though I am only 150 pages in I can heartily recommend it.
Do we? I noticed that you have Master and commander (lol) you should talk to MY husband. He loves sea-type books as well as fantasy. He grew up on a diet of Narnia and then gradutated to tolkein as did his older children and I know he has already started reading "The horse and his boy" to our younger children. He just finished writing and has had published his first Christian fantasy novel!) I had been entering my books into my library, but things have been pretty frantic here with book stuff, church stuff and kid stuff!

Better go and find out what the suspicioulsy quiet children are doing!
Hi Terra - thanks! I've been trying to check out what I actually wrote, and indeed what you wrote (I'm a pretty sporadic visitor to LibraryThing), but it seems to be playing up, so I'll be back! Terra's an interesting name, is it short for anything?
