PS. Other places you could look for the book are Msasa Books (031) 765 4946 or Kloof SPCA (who are surprisingly good at collectors' items; phone (031) 764 1212), other details of both of them in the favourites line on my profile page. No I'm not planning on selling my copy.
Interesting about your grandfather. Gunn & Codd (Botanical Exploration of Southern Africa) have him as being based at Giants Castle. When was he at Tendele? I'm in the last stages of a revision of Gunn & Codd -- should be published next year -- so would like to correct any facts I can while I can, before going to print. His slides are in the National Herbarium collection in Pretoria, by the way. Oh, and while I'm bugging you for information for the book, may I ask when he passed away?
