About mehi

About my libraryso, updated re collections: 'to read' - that means i've never even started it. 'unfinished' means that it was indeed started, i maybe even gave it good effort, but somewhere along the way it was abandoned (i do intend to finish these someday) most of the books i had to purchase for classes are tagged as such. some of these books, while on my shelf, do not belong to me - those are 'borrowed,' even if it's been years.

re tags: if i did finish reading them, i'm doing my best to tag them with a year - i will guarantee accuracy for 2005 onward, with things becoming more approximate as we reach further into the past, though some may still be correct.

Ivins is great. I just don't think that portraying Bush as a brainless doo dah is correct. Bush is a very smart man, with a very precise agenda. I'm a Texan and I love Molly Ivins but I think she can be a little too broad and forgiving at times. She is also almost completely biased (she makes a living being so) which isn't something which should be used as a text.

Obviously I don't know you, or the class you are in. So sorry if I'm completely off base here. I just saw that we had a few titles in common, and I saw something I disagreed with. WOrd.
Having to read Shrub isn't funny to me. Shrub is a silly little book with an agenda. If you wanna know about Bush READ about him.

Any professor with as narrow a view as that shouldn't be listened to.

Sorry for the brief rant. Since I don't know you and all.
I still think it's funny that you had to read Shrub for class.
