About meLate-twenties, two children, one tolerant husband, 7 triple stacked bookcases (and one for my daughter), addictive personality (only when it comes to books and cheese though).
Picture is of my favourite place to read in the whole world, sadly it is now in another country as we moved from Switzerland in September 2008. Searching for a replacement.
I have a blog that I use to keep track of what is arriving and what I am reading.
I also have an MA in Ancient History, I prefer Rome to Greece and I also did two years of university Latin, although I am very very rusty now. I am currently doing a second general degree with the OU (currently on hold) to keep my mind active whilst childrearing/bearing.
About my libraryI have only catalogued books I actually physically own and that are not up for swap or sale. These are my keepers!
I will read most books except really popular books (I tend to wait about ten years and then read it), chick lit (and the male equivalents) and self-help books. I prefer fantasy (especially stand alone novels), post-apocalyptic fiction and classic fiction (especially 18th century). I also have a soft spot for well written YA fiction/fantasy and books about serial killers/urban exploration/mental asylums.
Having said that if I am ever caught without a book I will read anything!
If anyone has any recommendations I am always happy to hear them!

The books came just now in the mail. I'm going to start reading them tonight and list them reserved for you later tonight. I'll email when they're listed. I should be able to get both read by my next mailing on November 8th, but if not I'll send them on the 15th.

Victoria's mailing them out today. I'll read them quickly so I can send them on to you with my next mailing (November 8). Pride and Prejudice is one of my all time favorties and I have been reading about these two but have never read them. Looking forward to reading and then mailing them to you.
