About me"When I step into this library, I cannot understand why I ever step out of it."
Marie de Sevigne
"It seems, somehow, that she has left her own world and entered the realm of the book."
Michael Cunningham
I am a nondescript, short, round person who blends easily into a crowd. I live with my computer teacher/musician husband, one of my sons, 1 really cute dog, 1 hyper corgi puppy, 1 old, normal cat, and 1 bipolar, very old cat. Both sons are in college, so there is not much extra money for books, although I can still find ways to sneak them into the house. I am a public school teacher who is on the way out the door at the end of the year; ten years is enough! I'm in school pursuing a Masters in library and informational science degree. I read voraciously.
About my libraryI have quite an eclectic collection. I like many genres, depending on my mood. I buy books faster than I can read them, so they are stacked all over my house in various strange places. The strangest part of my library would be the antique English textbooks I have collected. I don't have many, but my collection is growing.
I have kept track of the books I have read for almost 10 years now on index cards. I hope to get these recorded in my library soon. It will take me awhile! They will be tagged "Read 2006", with the appropriate year. My summer goal is to note the location of all my books through appropriate tags. I'm tired of not being able to find anything!
