I saw your new group, Detectives series, and thought I'd mention that there are scads of other groups flourishing here at LT that you would probably be interested in, and at least seven specifically about detectives or crime.
I know it is really hard to find things with the way the group search works. So you may not have been able to find them when you performed your search in the step before creating a new group.
What I have found that works best is: click the Groups tab, then go to the ~Complete groups list~ at the top right, then use your browser's ~find on this page~ function {my browser has it in the edit tab} to search for a specific interest. (Give my version of group search a try; search for your favorite authors, age groups, hobbies, areas of the country, schools - there are a bajillion interesting groups.) Searching that way, using the search word “detective" and then “crime” yielded these other groups you may want to check out.

You can see, in general, that the longer established groups about the same subject, have more members and more active talk, and the newer the group, the fewer members there are to talk amongst themselves.
(Just a hint: people already talking about the same things in established groups very seldom leave them to go have duplicate conversations in a new group.) I hate to see a member languishing with no one to talk with, when in reality, ~Groups~ is just brimming with folks in identical conversations. The current system just makes it so hard to find them. I have my fingers crossed for a future application to make that easier: group tags! Meantime, hope you enjoy LT!
