Use the old design

The old design is no longer fully supported nor does it get full attention when we roll out new features. We strongly recommend using the new design.

About meI'm a lifetime reader and book collector. I'm retired and able to read strictly for enjoyment or knowledge. Its wonderful.

The core of my library is history, biographies and non-fiction. I read fiction when I was younger and have a substantial fiction collection, but for many years I have read mostly non-fiction. Economics and politics are my current fields of interest.

About my libraryI have a small library in my house which holds my core collection and an overflow collection on shelves in my garage.

My nephew is a master carpenter and designed and built my library. Its solid maple wood with a natural stain and an engineered maple floor. He also built a desk to go with the library. It's capacity is about 3,000 hardbacks.

We share the obscure God is My Adventure, as well as Ouspensky, Somerset Maugham, and this: Grant and Twain: The Story of a Friendship That Changed America, which I like a lot but only came across because I was assigned to edit it many years ago.
