iain, Thanks for your note! My husband (dukedom_enough) is actually the BIG Ian Banks/Ian M. Banks fan; I've only read a few. He has everything, though not sure he's read every one, but nearly all. We actually have that production on Crow Road on DVD (we had to tweak the DVD player to play Region 2 DVDs). Which house is it in the movie?

I see you are a Joseph Conrad fan, have you read the nonfiction book, King Leopold's Ghost? I'm about a third of the way through it, it's excellent. While I've never been fond of Conrad, it's interesting to read about the inspiration for Heart of Darkness (I might have to reread that sometime).

Are you the one who had read Monica Ali, Zadie Smith & Amy Tan? Or might that be a significant other/wife/girlfriend? If you are the reader of these, I applaud you for exploring writing by women:-) Best, Lois
