About meI wasn't a book person and whenever I thought of take-up reading habit, I just couldn't go beyond - newspapers, articles, Tintin, Asterix, Spiderman,.. and few talk-of-the-time books. after moving to stranger's land and having some time to kill -- took me to books, to blogs and that lead me to blog about books..

I don't think it is either, really; books are my companions, and wherever I am I try to carry them with me or acquire them at my destination.
It is true though (I think) that through the growth that reading engenders I have been more open to opportunities and have applied greater sense to decisions - or at least I would like to believe so.
Are you finding it difficult to get hold of English books? It must be almost impossible to get hold of Desi Lit, I imagine; every time we go to India I come back with several bags of new and used books in the Desi Lit category!
