About meI am a rare book dealer and collector. I am also a recovering attorney. Many years ago, my father told me that he did not care what I did with my life as long as I enjoyed it and was good at it. I have, after several false starts, finally fulfilled his mandate. Working with books and booklovers is...well...not work. Best of all, I get to possess, for various periods of time, exeptional items that, while they fall outside my passions, are truly spectacular. I specialize in library and collection development, helping others conceptulize, design and build private libraries/collections (which allows me to immerse myself in areas outside my areas...I never cease to be amazed at what I find. I am having far too much fun.
About my libraryMy personal collections are focused on bibliomania, speculative fiction and early gothic horror. I have a growing passion, for better or worse, in early fine bindings.

which leads to an unknown, secret place.
The old people came literally to love the soil,
and they sat or reclined on the ground with a feeling of
being close to a mothering power.
Their teepees were built upon the earth
and their altars were made of earth.
The soul was soothing, strengthening, cleansing and healing.
That is why the old Indian still sits upon the earth instead of
propping himself up and away from its life giving forces.
For him, to sit or lie upon the ground is to be able to think more deeply
and to feel more keenly. He can see more clearly into the mysteries of
life and come closer in kinship to other lives about him.
