About me Complex, paradoxical, eclectic, perceptive, fun loving, intelligent, individualistic.
Kind hearted, caring, understanding, but never a pushover, always speak my mind, and have a low tolerance level for ignorance and narrow mindedness. I can sometimes appear overly critical but that may be because I tell it like it is. Ironically I am a diplomat by profession.
Intellectual, academic, serious and crave such conversations but also silly sometimes, love to make jokes, tease and laugh a lot.
Ambitious, confident, successful but not arrogant, feet firmly planted on ground and I never forget where I came from.
Laid back, relaxed, easy going but very passionate about many things in life.
Strong sense of morality, justice and ethics. Idealistic yet cynical.
Very difficult to gain my trust but once it is gained I am fiercely loyal.
Enjoy my own company but also like socialising, going out etc. Guard my space and privacy jealously but extremely willing to share it with those I consider deserving
Spend most of my time in a suit but would rather much prefer to be in jeans.
Son of immigrants but totally attached and loyal to Barbados, its history, culture and people.
I speak my Barbadian dialect without apology but consider it critical to be able to write and speak a high standard of the "Queen's English".
About my library I'm a voracious reader. I love African-American literature, in particular books from the Harlem Renaissance, anything to do with politics and international relations, history, culture, slavery, civil rights movement, colonialism, religion, Caribbean, developing world, foreign policy.
