About meI'm a nearing-middle-age married, working mom of 2. I love reading, always have, and never feel like I have enough time to do as much of it as I'd like. I'm a rather addicted BookCrosser (screen name the same there) & PaperBackSwapper and am constantly having to defend myself when my husband complains that I'm spending too much time with "that book stuff".

My Library at LibraryThing
About my libraryConstantly adding to my library -- most all of my books are used. I rarely buy a new book! You can find me frequenting library sales, garage sales, and Goodwill, and I'm esp. fond of the clearance section at Half Price Books. My tag system is simple, but it works for me!
I am most generally a reader of fiction, but am not exclusive to that genre. I also read approximately half of my selections on audio, as I'm in the car a lot with my job.
Please leave a comment if you're so inclined, and if you have any recommendations based on similar interests, please feel free to pass those along to me as well!
And in case you're interested, you can find my wishlist HERE (wanna trade??)

I hope you're doing well! =)

Thanks for the compliments! Your kids are KeeeUTE! As soon as Earth Hour has happened, I will post a pic of my kidlets. They are the 4-legged variety. I just bought a digital camera so have been trying to get a photo of the two of them. Can't even get one with their eyes open! My tabby is sleeping next to my pc as per usual. He sometimes rolls over and poof! there goes the email.
Don't you just love LT? I even bought a t-shirt. Which I will wear on the first day of my upcoming booksale and hopefully other local LTers will identify themselves. I LOVE booksales! Went to one on Sunday (50 kms round trip). Going to one this Friday after work which is over an hour away. Then one a week this wednesday and then mine so soon I will be over the 1500 mark. It's become an obsession! I keep telling people that because I run a book group, I'm storing up books for future possibilities for the group - more like I'm a squirrel with acorns.
You didn't like the Soul Thief? I picked up a copy recently because of a recommendation. Hope to get to it this summer. As soon as the June bkgrp title is done, I feel 'let out of school' & go hog wild with reading everything from trash to classics. It's so liberating, just like when you were a kid. I'm in school part-time though, but it's still all good.
How's the Uninvited? Looks to be scary. And what is a BookCrosser?
I enjoy chatting up books with people from all over. I love this site but if I spent half the time reading that I do here, I would be much further ahead with my ticker! I have to update it but have forgotten my password... duh!
Cheerios,

Thanks for the compliment about my bookshelves. Sorry I didn't reply to you back in March. I have been offline for about 6 months because I have been so busy with work and family. I have cut back my days recently so hopefully I will have more time read and visit Librarything. I have just finished reading Twilight by Stephanie Meyer and quiet enjoyed it. I will have a closer look at your library and might get some ideas about what to read next.
I like the idea of reading books in the car on audio, have never done it but will have to give it a go.
Kind regards,
Amanda

I loved looking through your library. We have around 125 books in common! I noticed that you own The Secret History. If you loved it, as I did, you might really enjoy Gentlemen & Players by Joanne Harris. Like The Secret History, it is set in an academic institution and has elements of suspense. I really loved it.
Seeing as our reading interests are so similar, I'll definitely check back to see what you have been reading!

I also love to go to the clearance section at Halfprice books. I think that we should send lots of letters to try and get them to build one here in Lafayette! On second thought, they might be way to dangerous for me.

I'm in Fishers and it sounds like we have a lot in common. I too frequent the Half Price Bookstores and for a while I was doing Bookcrossing dropoffs, but nobody ever logged on with the books I left!!!!! Do you participate in any local Book Clubs?

Thanks for adding me as a friend. I don't show on your list of "members with your books," but I wasn't suprised to see that you're up rather high on mine! Love hanging out at your BXing shelf to lust after books, and I'm sure I'll be exploring your library here as well! =)

Clearly, you have good taste in authors :)
I saw you in my members with box, and came over to have a look.
I know about Bookcrossing and think its great. I am registered, but have only had a go with it a time or two. I either trade books, donate them to the humane society for their book sale, or trade them... give them, etc..
Anyway... hi there!
