About meI live on 47ha (116ac) of bushland an hour outside of Canberra, where I'm indulging an obsession with Australian native produce (aka "bush tucker") and growing my own foodstuffs. I vacillate between being a reference librarian and a technical writer ... technical writing pays better but I'll always be a Librarian in my soul ...
About my libraryNon-fiction reflects whatever hobby I'm obsessing over at the time, thus ranaging from O'Reilly computing texts through to permaculture with side-tracks into woodworking and archaeology. Fiction tends towards sci-fi/fantasy, "cosy" crime, and lich'racha :)

I noticed you recently added the Field Guide to Herbs and Spices. It looks an interesting and comprehensive title. Can you advise if it's relevant for Australian readers, or is it northern hemisphere oriented? There isn't any info on the LT info page.

My favourite cookbook at the moment is probably Pleasures of the Vietnamese Table by Mai Pham (it's an American one - I've yet to find a good Vietnamese / Australian but I'm looking. I've looked at a few Maggie Beer books because I do love her and Stephanie Alexander's Tuscan cookbook.
I think my favourite Jill Dupleix book is is Old Food - it's so easy to work from. Probably my favourite indigenous one is the Mark Olive book (which reminds me - I must record that here).
