About meI am the library director at the Auburn (ME) Public Library. When I'm not caught up in my work, I focus my energy on my family, sports, needlework, and reading for fun. I'm married and we have a large extended family. My husband is manufacturer and small-business owner. He reads, works around the house, and enjoys his dogs. Pets are a must - especially cats. We have two cats and two English Setters (cat:me::dogs:husband). I'm a huge sports fan - primarily hockey, Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, Canadiens, and anything Notre Dame. Love spending time at the cottage in Harpswell -the exact definition of contentment and perfect sunsets.

All of the books with asterisks are ones that I read for two MLIS (U. of So. Carolina, Maine cohort, 2008) classes.

The USC MLIS program was such an adventure for me. Not only did the program give me a new career but it brought me great knowledge, new friends, and a lot of wonderful reading that I never would have done if not required in my classes.

About my libraryI have a ton (literally!!)of books - read and unread. Of course, the unread pile is bigger! Then there's the Kindle and Nook collections...... I am a member of the Maine Readers' Choice Award committee (www.mainereaderschoiceaward.org). I am an avid needleworker, so I have a great collection of needlework books, magazines, pamphlets, charts, and (of course) unfinished projects. I have more than 1000 books in my needlework library. So many books and projects with so little time......
