About meLet's see. My love affair with books started early. I always had to have a bedtime story, though for a while it was Cinderella every night. (I've always been partial to fairy tales.) My real career as a reader began in thrid grade when my teacher, Mrs. Dolynuik, gave very fun incentives to those who did independent reading. I eventually decided to major in English education at Oral Roberts University, started an MA in TESOL because I thought I was going to be a missionary, realized that what I loved about my BA was the literature and that I absolutely hated studying educational theory and, subsequently, changed my major to English literature with an unofficial focus on children's and young adults' literature. Of course, I've also been teaching English at an inner-city high school ever since getting my BA, so the MA has taken awhile and it's starting to feel like I've been in school my whole life...oh wait, I have! It's finally time to finish and settle down and maybe work on the whole family thing.

About my libraryI'm pretty much a collector. I buy far more books than I read, though I'm hoping to change that now that my MA is pretty much wrapped up. Speaking of which, I guess I'd better go get some reading done.

On a side note, you can also read additional, more detailed book reviews on my website.

I love Always Running, it's a great book. And the author Luis J. Rodriguez is a great guy. -- Jeff Rivera (Author of FOREVER MY LADY) http://www.JeffRivera.com
Hey There! Yep, you found me! LibraryThing.com is my new addiction, I love it (Not More than Reading, thankfully). What are you reading this summer? Anything I could join in on?
