About meI'm awkward. I write essays about comics and philosophy. I'm in art school. I'm way too into science right now.
About my libraryIt's really odd variety. There's a shelf of literature written by women, a shelf of straight up Bukowski and a shelf of non-fiction science books.. Everything else is pretty varied.

I kept changing my mind depending on the story I was reading, but since I keep changing it, I really figure it has enough problems to warrant a 75%, mang. Two of the longer stories back to back right at page 100 are very mediocre, and sometimes you can easily tell she has no idea what she's doing with the stories, just fucking around as it comes to her, and these tales usually just end, and not in the Raymond Carver way that works. Her writing was a lot like Tao Lin, with a hint of Brautigan. Personally, I think Lin did it better. Oh, I also felt that a lot of the quirkiness stemmed from July being incapable of creating believable characters.
75's pretty good from me, though. I try to be harsh. :D
Two of her metaphors almost made me throw up in how shitty they were, too. lulz Maybe she was just trying to be like Brautigan, or something, but it didn't work.
I liked it. Some of the stories were awesome, especially that 30-page one with lesbians and titty shows, and the bookends (started strong, ended strong...ish).
