About meim an english student (formerly an art student). i love to read--mostly fiction. i tend to be kind of shallow when im choosing books; i often pick ones with pretty covers....in fact im almost ashamed to say that the only books i own without pretty covers were either suggested to me by a friend, or cost less than five dollars. i love books. i want to own too many books...that is my goal. too many. i dont have nearly enough yet, but i hope to have too many to fit ANYwhere by the time im 30. i have less than ten years but i think i can make it. i also have a problem getting rid of books--while i love shopping at used book stores, ive never taken something in there, because once i read something, even if its bad, i HAVE to keep it. im a bit of a hoarder. i cant use libraries for the same reason--once i read the book, i need to HAVE the book. i trade books with friends, but i always get them back, and when i read one of theirs, i buy my own copy afterwards. yeah...its an addiction. but im happy with it.

About my librarymy library...its in the process. its still growing. i read a lot of young adult books, but i think thats okay. too many old adult books are about sex/adultery/etc. especially those directed towards women...and while thats all well and good, it gets kind of old kind of fast. young adult is more angst and pre-romance, and less lust and post-romance. in my opinion anyway. thats not to say that i dont like adult books, just that i have a soft spot for young adult fiction...and probably buy more of it. especially since its usually cheaper and chapters has a huge discount young adult section. i also love vampire and ESPECIALLY zombie books, and i want to own every one i can find.

Noticed you liked Lovely Bones, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here, as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it also contains a young female narrator struggling with a series of tragic circumstances. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit:
