Hi Chris. Are you into saguaros? The cactus book has been a helpful resource for me as I design papier-mache sculptures. Hope you're enjoying the 427th consecutive day of 100-degree heat. Welcome to Texas.
You asked about the picture shown on my profile - that is a picture of one of my cats, Buckwheat. She has the "lion cut" most of the time because her fur tends to get tangled. Normally she's black all over, but for some reason her undercoat is a lighter shade so she looks a little unusual.

We do share an odd range of titles! And I notice we also live in the same neck of the woods, more or less. I live just up the road from you in Little Elm.

Thanks. I have read Kindred and found it alright but not as good as its fans make it out to be.

Although LT has my library as it stands today, a lot of my books were sold when I moved out and I am slowly filling in the missing gaps as well as buying new stuff.

BTW - I was intrigued by your use of the tag "toe". I see you are using it for evolution, I was expecting it to be used in its usual physics context, namely "theory of everything".
I collect books by a small publisher "Algonquin Press of Chapel Hill." Started with a novel by Kaye Gibbons, "Ellen Foster." The books were small, beautifully printed and bound. The press was recently sold to Workman Publishing, and they still do print the small volumes, but they also make traditionally sized hardbacks, too.
