Welcome to LT, Jane!

I saw your post in Site Talk, and decided to mozy on over here to welcome you. Since you felt comfortable posting in the Site Talk group, I thought I would let you know that there are a oodles of other interesting groups here started by LT members. The best way to find them is: click the Groups tab, then go to the ~Complete groups list~ at the top right, then use your browser's ~find on this page~ function to search for a specific interest. Taking a cue from your library and searching that way, using the search word “Christian” yielded quite a few other groups you may want to check out. (The most active one seems to be Christianity, with 1,100 members.)

Christianity - http://www.librarything.com/groups/chris...
Christian Fiction - http://www.librarything.com/groups/chris...
Christian Historical Fiction - http://www.librarything.com/groups/chris...
Christian Living Books - http://www.librarything.com/groups/chris...
Christian Apologetics - http://www.librarything.com/groups/chris...
Yhwh, Wulder, Alsan, God - http://www.librarything.com/groups/yhwhw...
Desiring God - http://www.librarything.com/groups/desir...
Classics for Children & Family Weekly - http://www.librarything.com/groups/class...
And just thought I'd throw this one in (in case I've ballparked your age correctly):
50-Something Library Thingers - http://www.librarything.com/groups/50som...

There are a LOT more than the ones I've listed, including some about: pastors, homeschooling, workplace, missions, ministry training, pentecostal, science, arts, teens, readers who write, Christian Jews, meditation, domestic violence, Chinese American Christians, worship and liturgy, encouragement, children librarians. So, depending on your particular interest, there are already bunches of folks talking about it, and you can just join right in.

What I DIDN'T find was any groups about grandchildren or grandparents. So, if that is what you would most like to talk with other people about, you can just create a group (found from the Groups tab), and any other folks interested in that topic could join in.

And, just FYI, the Site Talk group is used for discussion about site-specific issues, ie collections, tags, book multiples, etc. There is a group called Off-topic for general discussion, introductions and whatnot, without any specific connection to books ( http://www.librarything.com/groups/offto... ). You'll find the folks here are really nice about being helpful to guide us when we're new. I love LT! Hope you enjoy it, too.
