I'm afraid that it has aged badly though. As we've developed the tools that we wrote about those 7 years ago, the text has fallen ever further behind the state of the art...
Some of the core tools in the build system are on the verge of major releases (m4 and libtool), and I have a much better book in the pipeline for when the dust has settled on those new releases.
Since I am writing the new book, I would be really grateful to hear your comments about the Goat Book -- especially what you didn't like about it.
