About meI'm a lifelong booklover and a school librarian. I read voraciously. I re-read my favorites every few years. I like to travel to places that I read about (I've been to Wales at least 10 times since I first read Sharon K. Penman's books). We lived in Rome for a few years and I built up a collection of books about Italy (historical fiction and travel). I firmly believe amazon.com should give away a free bookcase with every 100 books you purchase.

About my libraryI have a hard time letting go of books, but have made strides in that direction over the past few years. I love historical fiction, especially about medieval kings and queens. The librarian in my soul requires that I look up things in reference sources, so I have a nice little collection of reference works to feed my historicals habbit. I love to cook and I collect cookbooks. I enjoy travel books, too and never met a guidebook that I didn't desire. I read the technothrillers on my list, but mostly get them for my husband to have something to read so that we can read "together" in peace! I've mostly started by entering what I remember I have, but will soon need to fire up my laptop and take it upstairs. I have books in every room in the house. I'm not even going to try to add my children's books, but I have a pretty good collection of juvie historical fiction, too, because that's what I loved to read. I only list books that I have read.

Thanks for excepting my invitation to be my friend. I know my list of books is small right now. I plan to add more as I read them or remember ones from the past I really liked. I was at Barnes and Noble tonight drooling over books. Unfortunately new books are not in the budget right now. Besides I still have many on the shelf waiting to be read. I'm so glad I found this site.
