About meI make lists of books that I've read.
I try VERY hard NOT to repeat any books I've read.
LibraryThing is a searchable replacement to the little booklist I used to carry around everywhere.
My tags make little sense except to me - they're just a way of keeping track of what I've read.

About my libraryI don't try to own ANY books - I just borrow & read them. My tagging system is virtually meaningless to anybody - it just helps me keep track of how many books I've read and when I finished them.
Here's my system:
[Year-Month #ordinal number within that year]
or CCYY-MM #xx
So, for example, I read Michael Crighton's "Eaters of the Dead" as the first book of Jan. in 2000, so it gets a tag of: 2000-01 #1
