About meI'm the daughter of an English major and librarian so books have always been an important part of my life. Nothing was off-limits when I was growing up and I'd read whatever I came across. I found a few of my mother's college textbooks (literature anthologies, printed on onion skin paper but still at least 3 inches thick) and ended up reading things like The Bell Jar and Howl when I was about 11 or 12.

My favorite thing ever is curling up in a blanket with my kitties on a rainy or snowy day and reading a good book with a cup of tea and some chocolate.

I love graphic novels and comics, along with anything by Neil Gaiman or Roald Dahl. I'm really getting into true crime, mysteries, folklore and the like - the Lore podcast is a favorite of mine. I've always adored children's books, particularly fairy tales, and anything with amazing art. I also enjoy memoirs by authors like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Jenny Lawson, David Sedaris, and Allie Brosh.

My favorite stores to buy books are Vault of Midnight, Redux, and Bookmans. Amazon is my online go-to.

About my libraryI have more books in my home than shelves, and my "to read" pile is always growing. My large collection of children's books is usually spread over the floor of my sons' playroom, which makes me an incredibly happy mama.
