GroupsComics, Librarians who LibraryThing, Read YA Lit

About meI'm a Teen Services Librarian for a large city system. This means I get to read YA books and get paid for it - hooray! Although I hate the stereotypes, I will admit that I like my cat and I drink tea.

About my libraryI usually only buy books that I know I will read over and over again. Many of these titles, especially the children's books, have been in my library for a long time.

Noticed you liked The Sound and the Fury, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also southern, a bit violent, and a bit dark :) I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter)in case you'd like to read more about the novel before you commit:

Hint: Has red hair.

Hi, Jen! I was away from LT while I traveled c. 800 miles west andf back and then a couple of hbundren SE to camp at the beach. Yes, I'm also happy to meet you, through this and your various profiules and your lovely websites!

This LT is kind of absorbing, so? I told my mother about it, and she remarked, "It sounds boring!" I said not for a library and book geek.

It's interesting about the titles not matching up. Yers, the cataloging is on the fly, but it's pretty fun. I'm torn between wanting to enter my exact edition of a book and preferring to grab a record with a cover image. It's easy enough to edit, so I'm mainly trying to throw a bunch of stuff in there, a stack at a time. My collection is pretty eneven right now, as I've done my fiction only through "Cunningham," with a few lines cast out for favorites. I went from the top of the fiction shelves to my favorite little nature shle, then got into music.
Another decision is how many chidlren's boons to do....
