About meHi, I'm Jen, I live in San Francisco, work at a book store, and read pretty much 24/7! Even though I'm in college I read a lot of kids and young adult books, and a LOT of fantasy! It is a used store; the prices aren't ridiculously cheap but the selection, the setup, and the staff make it worth it for me. I can spend hours in a Borders or any corporate bookstore - and I have! - but now that I live somewhere with this many independent shops, I try to patronize them whenever they've got what I want. Plus, I don't have an employee discount, which would be disastrous to my income :)

oh my, yeah, that would have totally been grounds for dumping!
Dog Eared is my favorite of the three run/owned by the same folks - Phoenix and Red Hill are the other two. They're all really similar, and awesome for kids/YA and writing resource books. I never leave empty-handed :)
