Hi Jeff,

I just wanted to say hello...as we are one of the few people with the Geraldine Lane book and I am always interested in who else is conducting research in Barbados. I am amazed at how many books you have in this area. Have you been to Barbados? It used to be my goal for my 40th birthday. At the rate I'm going it will be my 50th or 60th birthday goal !! :)
Hi Jeff --

Thanks for your comments on my library. I'm only getting started with LibraryThing.

For my part, I'm really amazed at your collection of North Carolina and Caribbean resources for genealogy.

Jeff, I note with interest that you are "analyzing" issues of the North Carolina Genealogical Society Journal. I've just started going through a box or two of the National Genealogical Society Quarterly and doing individual entries for issues with articles I feel I may want to use. At some point I decided that the piles of periodicals in my house would never do me any good unless I noted why I had them! It's interesting to see that someone else is doing the same sort of thing and also interesting to see how different our approaches are. (However, unlike you I'm not the author of any of the articles.) You have a very impressive collection.
Hi, Jeff. Yes, I love LibraryThing, and I see that we share a few common books.
Great! Glad you see some interesting titles; I've been a fan of the Revolution in the South since watching Swamp Fox on Disney when I was a kid. Best of luck with the initial catalogging! A
Hi JH, given your Carolina interests take a look in my catalog under the American Revolution tag; you may see some titles of interest as the Revolution in the South is an area of interest for me. Cheers, A
I noticed you happened to be the only other user to own Froude's The Bow of Ulysses and wonder if you're, like me, a Caribbeanist.
